strategic communication online communication researchMasters students in PR and strategic communication often bring a wealth of experience to projects including the ability to critically analyse, evaluate and create both strategic-level plans and tactical activities.
Students are likely to have studied media relations and production, strategic communication planning, influencing and advocacy, social media analysis, and behavioural communication. Most modules cover both theoretical considerations and practical applications.
Learners
Deliverables are negotiable and will seek to align the needs of the learners and the organisation. There are usually three meetings involving the learner/student, non-academic partner/placement supervisor and the academic supervisor at the start, middle and end of the placement.
Some final project deliverables might include:
- A 10-15 minute presentation on key findings and recommendations
- A detailed report including their research, analysis, insights and recommendations

Individual students have previously undertaken projects such as:
- stakeholder audits and analysis
- strategic communication plans
- social media content planning
- video production
- design and testing of podcasting programme
- internal communication audits
- evaluation of campaigns
