Requirements
The Human Resources Alliance (HRA) is a student-run organization that focuses on bridging the gap between students and the professional HR industry by hosting various events like information sessions, case competitions and networking events.
This annual case competition attracts students from a wide range of disciplines who have a passion for Human Resources and, in many cases, an interest in pursuing a career in this field.
In previous years, as many as 100 students have completed the case, bringing critical thinking and creativity to the problem provided, drawing from their experience and education. This year, the case will be taken to a new level of experiential education and relevance, by taking on a challenge provided by a real client.
Would you like to have 100 students working on a challenge for your business? To partner with this competition, you or a representative would need to attend this professional event in person at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus (1275 Military Trail) on Saturday February 9th, 2018 from approximately 2:00pm-5:00pm, to evaluate students' presentations. You will also be required to attend a networking event after the event, providing students with the opportunity to engage with you.
Possible challenges include, but are not limited to:
- Attracting new graduates to your organization
- Improving rewards and compensation program
- Increasing employee engagement
- Improving your employer brand
Example of last year's case summary and requirements are attached. Please note that members of the HRA are available to develop the written case materials for you based on information you provide about your organization and the challenge you'd like solved.
