The goal of this project is to set up QuickBooks Online for Knowledge Bookstore and create financial slide decks with a summary of historical and projected financials, key financial metrics, and an analysis of what needs improvement and suggestions for those improvements. This will involve several different steps for the students, including:


- Setting up QuickBooks Online adding entries for 2022 and 2023 for Knowledge Bookstore.


- Creating financial slide decks with a summary of historical and projected financials, key financial metrics, and an analysis of what needs improvement and suggestions for those improvements.


- Analyzing the financials of Knowledge Bookstore to identify areas of improvement.


- Researching and suggesting strategies for improvement.


Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:


- Understanding of Knowledge Bookstore's financials.


- Ability to set up QuickBooks Online for Knowledge Bookstore.


- Ability to create financial slide decks with a summary of historical and projected financials, key financial metrics, and an analysis of what needs improvement and suggestions for those improvements.


- Identification of areas for improvement and strategies for improvement.



Final deliverables should include:


- 2024 and 2025 Projected Financial along with a list of key assumption qualified.


- A written report explaining KPI's.


- Financial slide decks with a summary of historical and projected financials, key financial metrics, and an analysis of what needs improvement and suggestions for those improvements.

Knowledge Bookstore is an independent Afrocentric bookstore located in Brampton Ontario that sells African Canadian, African American, Caribbean, and Children's books. We also offer Black dolls, greeting cards, DVDs, beauty products, and gift items not readily available in mainstream stores. Knowledge Bookstore is a community space as well as the go to source for parents, writers, poets, artists, and the Black community.
