We're looking for students to help us with the creation of new/upgraded graphic design assets for our company, web development and design for a new children subscription box, and a new custom apparel printing storefront website.

Deliverables

Students required: 3 students that will work together

We are looking for student #1 to create:

  • · A Knowledge Bookstore 25th Anniversary design that can be used for a T-shirt, bookmark, poster, or journal cover that aligns with and builds on our existing branding this includes typography, color palette, formatting, and a branding guide.
  • A children’s subscription box design
  • A high-quality design/ redesign of Knowledge Bookstore's existing logo and business card
  • Create graphic design assets (t-shirt mock-ups) for our marketing and ads materials, social media, and websites

Student # 2 to:

  • Web Development, Design, and Branding consistent with the existing brand for a subscription box for children’s
  • Evaluate the existing storefront & subkit.com to determine the best choice for hosting this new site.

Student # 3 to:

  • ·Web Development for a Custom Design Apparel storefront
  • Web Design for a Custom Design Apparel storefront
  • Branding
  • Evaluate and present the best platform to host the site on
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with the employer for mentorship, support, and supervision throughout the project. We will be scheduling weekly or biweekly meetings with students for progress updates and to answer any queries. Students are expected to have daily goals that we can review together and evaluate weekly.

Knowledge Bookstore is an independent Afrocentric bookstore located in Brampton Ontario that sells African Canadian, African American, Caribbean, and Children's books. We also offer Black dolls, greeting cards, DVDs, beauty products, and gift items not readily available in mainstream stores. Knowledge Bookstore is a community space as well as the go to source for parents, writers, poets, artists, and the Black community.
