This project is broken into two parts.

For part one we are looking for students to help us build a marketing strategy to grow and engage our target market. We’d like to know how we can maximize different channels and what will work best for us. We consult with organizations to engage them on things like team cohesion, leadership development and change management. As well we do executive and individual coaching. This will be part one of the marketing strategy initiative.

Included in the market strategy is:

  • market research
  • outreach
  • liase with and track opportunities for speaking and engagement
  • create partnerships with local associations, with focus on women led businesses
  • increase social media presence and engagement: provide strategies and execute on engagement
  • tracking and administration
  • other duties as assigned

Some of the main questions we’d like students to help us answer for the company as a whole are the following:

  • How do we bring our company to #1 on Google?
  • What messaging should we use? And where do we target new clients?
  • What outlets are going to bring the most attention to our company and brand?
  • What opportunities do we have to create greater brand awareness?

Part two is focused on building the marketing strategy and brand for our podcast. We will be launching season 1 of our podcast soon and have an opportunity to create awareness and engagement as we launch and into the coming months. This podcast focuses on women entrepreneurship and women in business.

Students will be asked to accomplish the following:

  • get the podcast promoted
  • find partnership opportunities
  • look at ways to monetize the podcast
  • do outreach for the podcast
  • create a strategy about entering and continuing in the podcast market
  • Upload podcast to Buzzsprout and distribute to channels
  • Share episodes on social platforms
  • Share the recorded episodes with season 1 guests to promote on their platforms
  • Liaise with guests and listenership to increase engagement
  • Provide actionable recommendations on increasing listenership
  • Edit video and share to social sites
  • Find creative ways to promote and expand listenership
  • Possibly: Edit the recorded audio for final publication

Some of the main questions we’d like students to help us answer for the podcast are the following:

  • How should we promote our podcast?
  • What channels should we utilize?
  • How do we drive engagement to our website? and to the podcast platforms?
  • Are there partnership opportunities available to promote the podcast?

So far we have grown organically, but this is an opportunity to intentionally strategize about how to grow a brand beyond that and cultivate new opportunities.
