Working with Team 8 on the Health Promotion Campaign Plan during Healthcare Management Winter 2025 was a professionally enriching experience. The team demonstrated exceptional commitment to addressing critical health concerns within the BIPOC community, particularly focusing on the complex issues surrounding hair relaxers and chemical treatments. Their approach was comprehensive, combining rigorous research on colorism and chemical exposure with creative communication strategies. The project's strength lay in its nuanced understanding of the health and social implications of chemical hair treatments, showing a deep commitment to raising awareness through targeted educational materials. Ofori's leadership was particularly noteworthy, guiding the team to develop evidence-based campaign materials that could potentially create meaningful behavioral change and health consciousness among the target population.

Working with Daniella was refreshing and built up my confidence in working independtly!

I was able to learn a lot throughout my time completing this project. Throughout my role, I was able to learn how to properly research and learn how to effectively conduct in-person and virtual workshops in a way that are interactive and informative. As well, I was able to work on and improve my creative skills as I had to come up with creative activities to be implemented in these different workshops.
