Applied Research in International Trade Management

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on students from the Toronto School of Management to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. Students will work on one main project over the course of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students in this program/course… : will examine the challenges facing an organization from a holistic perspective, conduct a needs analysis, diagnose the organizational issues related to internationalization, and make recommendations for implementation. Throughout this experience, they will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of international issues in all functional areas of the internationalization process, and the ability to formulate solutions that meet organizational needs.

Students from the Niagara College @ Toronto School of Management will develop a comprehensive international expansion plan, consisting of detailed internal analysis of a company's resources and capabilities, international market analysis using secondary and primary data, financial and risk analysis with recommendations on implementation. Throughout the project, students will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of international issues in all functional areas of the internationalization process, and the ability to formulate solutions that meet organizational needs.

2022 Hospitality and Tourism Management Internships
Pay it forward by helping a new generation learn new skills,, build their portfolio, and develop a taste of what they like or don’t like to do. Offset enough of employees’ time with the work an intern does to be a fair and sustainable exchange. Bring on students from the Toronto School of Management' Hospitality and Tourism Management program to be your virtual interns. Students in this program are poised to succeed in the integrated work areas of range of functions within the facilities department of hotels, operational and supervisory aspects of running food and beverage operations, aspects of food hygiene and safety, accounting, travel and financial information. Students are required to complete 480 hours of placement within 24 weeks. These students are looking for both paid and unpaid internships with a preference for paid experiences. Please indicate in your project submission which you are able to offer. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, student placements may only occur virtually.
