Social Justice Assessment

We are looking for a Social Justice Assessor who will work with our team to advance equity and justice within our organization. The intern will have the opportunity to assess our company which covers our website, products, and services, as well as work on initiatives to create positive change for Magnify Access. Our intention is to ensure our company stands against the following social justice issues: Racism and discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and other identity factors Income inequality and lack of access to economic opportunity Inadequate access to education, healthcare, and other necessities The disproportionate impact of environmental harm on marginalized communities Gender inequality and discrimination against women and non-binary individuals Discrimination and mistreatment of people with disabilities. The end result of your internship would be to produce clear guidelines/direction on how to ensure our company has addressed issues related to social justice internally and externally, captured in a document the company can use to remediate these issues.

Public Health Nutrition writers for social media posts.

Nutrition Opportunities Worldwide is a group of nutrition consultants based out of the Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto. The main goal of this project working for us is to write short succinct summaries of Public Health Nutrition Papers, UN reports on nutrition and food security, attend some webinars on nutrition and summarize the content of these for posting on social media platforms. The goal is to increase the following to the Nutrition Opportunities Worldwide LinkedIn platform and help develop other social media platforms and revamp the organizations webpage. We are looking for students enrolled in nutrition/public health/international development or dietetics who are knowledgeable and interested in doing technical writing about nutrition and food security related subjects. By posting regularly we have managed to increase our LinkedIn over 2024 from 10,000 followers in Jan 2024 to over 25000 within a year. Most of our followers are based in lower-middle income countries and are nutrition and or development professionals who appreciate the well curated, credible, nutrition information we are sharing with them.

Research Support for 2025 International G7, G20 and UNFCCC Summits

Valemount is preparing for two significant international events in 2025: the G7 Summit in Kananaskis, Alberta, and the UNFCCC Climate Meeting in Rio. The goal of this project is to provide comprehensive research support to help the company prepare for these events. The project will involve gathering and analyzing relevant data, summarizing key topics, and identifying potential discussion points and stakeholders. This will enable Valemount to be well-informed and strategically positioned for these high-profile meetings. The project will require a deep dive into current global economic, development and climate issues, as well as an understanding of the agendas and priorities of the participating countries.
